The deliverable is not the proof
When you receive a finished report, you are being asked to trust a process you never saw. The document is the end of a chain you have no access to. If the chain was flawed, the polish of the output hides it rather than revealing it.
This is how the market has trained you to work: receive the file, trust the vendor. It is exactly backwards for anything that carries real consequence.
